When I saw the Mono Monday 378 this morning, I could not wait until after work to make the card, so I had to do it while the Mono was fresh! I had made a few cards with the Summer silhouette set by Stampin Up this weekend, and knew immediately which stamps, inks, and paper to use.

Casing ODBD Keep Climbing
I saw a card over 2 years ago and was so impressed by it that I've almost bought the stamp set several times in order to make that card. Last weekend I went to the Scrapbooking and Stamping show in Sevierville and bought it, and was finally able to almost replicate this card by Grace Nywening. She is an amazingly talented artist, and I love looking at the creations she shares on her blog!
My card isn't as pretty as hers, but I'm happy with it.

Pool Queen
I had a lot of fun today at iScrapOn. It was a Western theme with Chili and birthday cake.

I made a few cards and one layout. I had planned to do more layouts, but left my pictures at home. The only way I got this one done is because I had my computer and photo printer with me.
This was made with BoBunny Wild Card collection. My niece plays pool every weekend and is good enough to win a few tournaments.

Sympathy
Last night a sweet lady at church went to her heavenly home. I needed a sympathy card, and wound up making a few because you never know when you'll need one.
My favorite stamp set for a sympathy card is Thoughts and Prayers by Stampin' Up, so I got that out and my distress markers. When I want different colors of ink on an image, this is the best way to achieve that look.
I just love the detail that this technique gives. It looks like I stamped 4 different times.

Lifting you up
The new scrapbook store in Rossville has some adorable stamps from Dare2bArtzy. I pulled out my Twinkling H2O's and had some fun!
These stamp sets have a die that fits both of them, and I used that first to cut the balloons in the top panel, and then I put the panel on the watercolor paper and stamped in the holes.
I didn't use pop dots on this card, I went the frugal route and cut up a cardboard box and glued little pieces of that between the watercolor paper and the top panel. It gives the same effect, but is sturdier because the piece of cardboard was bigger than the pop dots.
I tried using colored embossing powders for the balloons, but I think I like the black better, but it really doesn't matter since these are going in the mail.

it's Stamptember!
There is a challenge over at Simon Says Stamp to use bright inks and a bold stamp.
I think this qualifies. I had a lot of fun creating cards with this technique. I embossed the stamp and then inked with Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, and Squeezed Lemonade.
The next thing that I did was to spritz it with lots of water or in the case of the flourish card, glimmer mist.
And on this card, I simply added pearls and a sentiment.
I layered each of my focal panels on white cardstock which I inked with one of the colors I used on the card. That makes it very easy to get the right color mat!
I hope you enjoy creating today!

Celebrate today
Donna came over today when I got off work, and we made a few cards.
Starting point: Pinterest of course! we loved this card by Tammy, and I added a few touches of my own. Instead of the pearl in the center, I used a red bling, and I used red bling on the bottom medallion. Then I used my Silhouette to cut out a tag shape that seemed to reflect the shapes made by the dies that go with the stamps.
The materials used are: Daydream Medallions, Floral Frames Collection Framelits, Real Red, and Brilliant Blue ink pads, Blue and Red cardstock, White cardstock scraps.
