Tatted trim on baby shirts

I’ve progressed to the point that tatting trim for the neck and sleeves for a 0-3 m shirt only takes 4 1/2 hours.

The simple pattern for this is

R 3-3-1–1-3-3 cl, rw

Ch: 3-3, rw

Repeat except first picot is now a join.

Using Lizbeth size twenty load six feet (2 yards) onto the shuttle

Sleeves need 22 rings. Neck needs 24.

Clover picot gauges used were 3 and 5.

Purple Splendor tatting

I don't know if anyone else has thought of this, but just in case it's a Duh! Moment for someone else... For small items such as earrings if they don't have beads, you could use a hair straightener for blocking purposes. I have a wet to straight one, and i just dampened one of these bookmarks and straightened it. The other one i just did dry.

I'm still trying to decide if I prefer beads or no, but I am also excited that split rings are easy now.

This is a version of Mary Konior's Three Wishes pattern, from Tatting in Lace, but honestly I was trying to mimic Robin Perfetti's bookmark. Oh how i wish i could buy HER .pdf life would be so much simpler, and it would cost me less, this book was almost $50!

Thread used was Lizbeth size 10, color 129 Purple Splendor

Volcano Waffles

Just so I don’t have to figure out how much for one waffle in my waffle iron again:

1/4 c sugar
1/2 c self rising flour
2 Tbsp egg
1/2 c milk

Mix, pour 1/4 cup out and then add to waffle iron

Note: what is poured out is the perfect amount for a pancake
