New Year New Beginnings.

Martha married Jim Bishop at the Wedding Chapel in Ringgold. I was blessed to be asked to video the wedding and take a few pictures.

12/14 Recycling

I remembered to call the recycling place to register our new recycling bin to get rewards.

12/13 Snow & COH

School was canceled today because there was 1/4 " of snow on the ground. It seems ridiculous down here in the valley, but there was probably more snow up on Lookout.

Troop 17 had their Court of Honor and Christmas party, it was a lot of fun.

Ambition

I want my daughter to be beautiful, accomplished and good; to be admired, loved, and respected; to have a happy youth; to be well and wisely married, and to lead a useful, pleasant life, with as little care and sorrow to try her as God sees fit to send. To be loved and chosen by a good man is the best and sweetest thing that can happen to a woman, and I sincerely hope that my daughter will know this beautiful experience.

Scrapbooking

I'm trying to scrapbook more, and have actually done a good bit lately. Thursday on the 1st, Gwen came over and I did 2 pages that day:

It's taken me almost 3 years to scrap this event. This invite has been patiently sitting in my ephemera stash for quite a while. I wanted to do some journaling, but I struggle with writing directly on the background pp, so I decided to do a bowling ball to go with the bowling pin. The one I made was green instead of the traditional black because you can get all different colored balls now. I had so much fun making the cake and frosting. You can find the directions for making one at: http://www.thepartyanimal-blog.org/bowling-lane-cake/

This is a picture of my oldest sister and our grandparents. I'm going to let her write on the tag for this lo.

W@H

I finally get to Work At Home! I have a desk set up for work in the corner of my bedroom, and am enjoying the commute. I love being home as soon as I finish working.

Tape dispensers

Ok, I know I'm behind the times...I decided a while ago to get an ATG gun, but just had a problem with the initial investment. Well, after going through a lot of the snail adhesives this month, and then Office Depot no longer carrying the one I've loved for the last few years, it's time for me to dive in.

I came on-line since I couldn't find it at any of the local stores around here, and I honestly didn't know about any alternatives to the brand name, or how they would work.

After reading all the pages on a couple of threads on SCS (Split Coast Stampers), I placed my order for the ATG50 from thetapedepot on eBay. I'm excited that I was able to get an atg gun and 12 rolls of refills for $48.05 with shipping! I debated about getting the starter kit with only 6 rolls of refills, but that would have been $39.95, and since I was prepared to spend at least $45 on an ATG714 plus more money for refills, I got the deluxe starter kit.

(Thetapedepot website has free shipping for orders of over $50, but the gun and tapes total $48.40 with shipping $5.95)
